Members of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) detained two persons with 600 grams of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Members of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) detained two persons with 600 grams of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this morning.
The price of the seized gold was estimated at Tk 30 lakhs, said Assistant Superintendent of Police of the APBn Tanjina Akhter.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The detainees were identified as Md Billal, 70, and his son Md Shah Alom, 26, residents of Keraniganj in Dhaka, she said.
They were detained from outside the canopy-2 around 8:15am with six gold bars weighing 100 grams each.
