2 shot, robbed off in Dhaka

Muggers shot two people and snatched away Tk 2.25 lakh in Gulshan and Paltan areas of Dhaka today.

An armed gang intercepted Belal Hossain, a bKash agent, on road No. 114 in Gulshan area around 9:00am and took away Tk 2.20 lakh after shooting him in his left hand, the victim told reporters at Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

In another incident, muggers shot a man and snatched away Tk 5,000, a gold chain and a mobile phone set from him in Paltan area around 5:00am.

Iftekharul Alam Milton, 42, was admitted at the hospital with bullet wounds in his left leg, a constable of DMCH police camp told The Daily Star.

The miscreants riding a microbus intercepted Iftekharul after he got down from a bus on Culvert Road in Paltan. They snatched gold chain, Tk 5000 and a mobile phone set from him.
