3 ‘JMB members’ held in Savar

Law enforcers arrest three alleged members of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Savar, at the outskirts of Dhaka.

Law enforcers arrested three alleged members of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Savar, at the outskirts of Dhaka.

The arrestees are Tamim Dari, Kamrul Hasan and Md Mostofa Majumdar, members of Sarowar-Tamim group of JMB, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) said at a press briefing this morning.

Among them, Tamim Dari is said to be a Hindu-converted jihadist.

A team of Rab-4 during an operation arrested the JMB members from a “Village Line” bus of Jhitka-Gabtoli route around 8:40pm last night.

Sharp weapons, firearms, plastic explosives, five rounds of bullets, and bomb-making materials were said to have been seized from their possession.
