4 kids hurt in Ctg boundary wall collapse

Four children are injured as a boundary wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Chittagong city. The boundary wall collapses on the children in Nandan Kanon area of the city when they were playing beside it, police said.

Four children were injured as a boundary wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Chittagong city today.

The victims -- Sajib, 10, Mehedi, 8, Riyad, 6 and three-year-old Arif -- are undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital, reports our district correspondent.

The boundary wall collapsed on the children in Nandan Kanon area around 12:45pm when they were playing beside it, said Jashim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chittagong Kotwali Police Station.

The kids were rescued by the fire fighters from a nearby fire station soon after the incident, said Ali Akbar, a senior station officer of the station.
