Body of newborn recovered in Dhaka’s Pallabi

Body of a newborn was recovered in Dhaka's Pallabi area this morning.

The body of the baby girl was lying in a pile of waste at Mirpur Section-11 area.

On information from locals, police recovered the body around 11:00am and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Mizanur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Pallabi Police Station.

Earlier on Saturday, Shahbagh police recovered decomposed body of another newborn from near Engineering University School and College, adjacent to Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University.
