Law enforcers today foiled a procession brought out by Gonojagoron Mancha activists on way to besiege Myanmar Embassy in Dhaka’s Gulshan area.

The Gonojagoron Mancha activists protesting atrocities on Rohingyas in Myanmar’s Rakhine state were barred at Gulshan-2 intersection around 4:15pm, reports our photo journalist.

Following a scuffle with the lawmen there, the protesters staged a demonstration on the road.

Later, a five-member delegation of the Gonojagoron Mancha, a platform that demands the highest penalty for war criminals, led by its spokesperson Dr Imran H Sarker went to the Myanmar Embassy to place a memorandum on the Rohingya issue.
