Delta Life Insurance gets new administrator

An administrator has been appointed to Delta Life Insurance "to protect policy holders' interest".

Sultan-ul-Abedin Mollah, a former member of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), was appointed today.

After taking charge, Mollah, in a press briefing, said he was appointed for the betterment of the leading life insurance company.

"I will work to protect policy holders' interest as per IDRA order."

The insurance regulator came up with the steps after the VAT Intelligence Department filed a case against Delta Life Insurance for evading VAT of about Tk 35.18 crore.
