First death anniv of Mashuk Chowdhury

Today is the first death anniversary of noted poet and journalist Mashuk Chowdhury.

He passed away on this day last year while suffering from pneumonia.

Born in 1949 at Moniandha of Akhaura upazila under Brahmanbaria district, the self-effacing poet authored 12 books, mostly poems.

He was a life member of Bangla Academy and permanent member of National Press Club.

He was awarded by many organisations for his literary wisdom throughout his life.
