IUB ranks top pvt university in country

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has ranked first among all private universities in Bangladesh by SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2021. IUB was also ranked tenth among all universities, public and private, in the country, said a press release.

SIR is a global ranking of scientific institutions published by SCImago Laboratories in partnership with Scopus, which is an abstracting and citation database owned by Elsevier.

Institutions are ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs, and societal impact measured by their web visibility.
