Labourer killed as truck hits him in Secretariat

A labourer was killed after a truck hit him while working inside the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Hossain, 35, who was working as a labourer of the truck.

Police said he was hit when the truck hired to carry abandoned items from the Secretariat moved back around 4:00pm.

Doctors declared Jahangir dead immediately after he was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in- charge of the hospital's police camp.
