Makeshift shops evicted in Gulistan

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in a drive today evicted hundreds of illegal makeshift shops in Gulistan area of the capital.

The drive, led by DSCC executive magistrate Khan Mohammad Nazmus Shoaib, began at Golapshah Mazar intersection around 11:00am and ended at Sergeant Ahad Police Box Mor via Gulistan intersection, evicting all the makeshift shops on both sides of the road and the footpath.

Members of police and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) assisted the DSCC officials during the drive.

The Jubo League office at Gulistan intersection was also evicted.
