Man held with over 6kg of gold ornaments

Customs officials detained a man with 6.60 kilogrammes of gold ornaments worth Tk 3.21 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early today.

The officials detained Md Murshed Hossain while he was passing through the airport’s green channel around 3:00am, said Sazzad Hossain, assistant commissioner of Customs in Dhaka.

The detainee arrived in the city by a flight of Qatar Airways, he added.
