Man held for ‘propaganda in favour of IS’

Detectives have detained a man for allegedly conducting propaganda in favour of Islamic State (IS) though internet.

Nahid Hossain was arrested from Badda in Dhaka last night, said a SMS sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to media today.

"The detainee was spreading propaganda in favour of so called IS through internet using a fake name Jihadi Jhon," the message read.

Police will come up with details of the arrestees at a press briefing at DMP media centre later in the day.
