Moinuddin Mondal, a freedom fighter and president of Chapai-nawabganj district unit of Awami League and chairman of Zila Parishad, died from Covid-19 at Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital in the capital yesterday. He was 75.

He left behind a son, a daughter and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
