Nurul Alam no more

Nurul Alam Chowdhury, former DMD of Mercantile Bank Limited, passed away early yesterday at a hospital in Dhaka. He was 74.

The Board of Directors, all executives, officers and employees of Mercantile Bank Limited expressed deep shock at the death, said a press release. He left behind his wife, sons, daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.

His first namaz-e-janaza took place in capital's Gulshan Central Mosque after Asr prayers yesterday.

After the second janaza, he will be buried in his family graveyard in Sitakundu today.
