QAMA Rahim, a freedom fighter, breathed his last on May 31 at his residence in Uttara, Dhaka. He was 79, said a press release.

QAMA Rahim, a freedom fighter, breathed his last on May 31 at his residence in Uttara, Dhaka. He was 79, said a press release.

He was former ambassador and high commissioner in Pakistan and Australia, and secretary general of the Saarc.

Rahim, who hailed from Naogaon, left behind his wife and two sons living in the USA.

After a namaz-e-janaza, he was buried at Uttara Graveyard.
