United Hospital Limited has been sued for tax dodging worth Tk 21 crore.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Md Mahbubul Alam filed the lawsuit against the hospital with Gulshan Police Station today.

According to the case statement, the hospital did not pay a net tax of Tk 21,44,26,993 since its inception until December 31, 2011.

Charges were placed against Managing Director of United Hospital, Faridur Rahman Khan, and a former Dhaka City Corporation Commissioner Rahima Begum for illegal facilitation of tax in favour of the hospital.
