One person is killed in the wall collapse near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, and some others have been injured.

One person was killed in the wall collapse near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, and some others were injured.

The deceased was identified as Golam Mostofa, 40, a construction worker, Nure Azam Mia, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The wall adjacent to the Customs C&F building collapsed around 10:00am, the OC said.

Fire Service and Civil Defence called off the rescue operation around 1:15pm after the recovery of Mostofa’s body.
