Woman killed in Dhaka road crash

A woman was killed as a bus ran over her in Malibagh bazar area of Dhaka today.

Runa Akhter, 32, wife of Bachchu Miah of west Rampura, died on the spot after the speeding bus of Ramjan Paribahan hit her while she was crossing a road in the area around 8:30am, Proloy Kumar, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station, told The Daily Star.

Runa was going to her relative’s house in Malibagh hearing the death news of a relative, added the OC.
