Workers’ demo continues

For the fourth consecutive day, workers at Luhauni Tea Garden in Molvibazar's Kulaura staged demonstrations yesterday, protesting a co-worker's "unfair" dismissal with their 11-point demand.

The workers said authorities had assured that the situation will be resolved by yesterday, but no headway was made.

Nahidul Islam, deputy director of divisional labour department's Sreemangal office, said a meeting will be held within the next two or three days.
