A 10-km tailback has been created on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Fatehpur, causing immense sufferings to the commuters.

A 10-km tailback was created on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Fatehpur here on Sunday, causing immense sufferings to the commuters.

Police said the tailback was created due to the construction work of a railway overpass in Fatehpur area.

The passengers and drivers passing through the area said it takes nearly 2-3 hours to cross the Fatehpur point.

Alfaz Mia, a driver of Shohagh Paribahan, said "It took two and half hours to cross the area and vehicles are moving slowly."

He also blamed the vehicles carrying construction materials for the traffic gridlock.

However, police are working to reduce the tailback.
