13 shops gutted in Barguna

At least 13 shops were gutted in a fire at Gorjanbunia Bazar in Barguna Sadar upazila early yesterday.

Barguna fire service officials said, primarily they suspect that the fire might have originated from an electric short-circuit at a medicine shop in the market around 1:30am and soon engulfed adjacent 10 shops and three shops partially.

Police said, being informed, firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
