2 human traffickers held, 18 rescued in Dhaka
Detectives arrest two human traffickers and rescued 17 victims in Dhaka. They were being trafficked to Republic of Palau.
Detectives arrested two human traffickers and rescued 18 victims in Ashkona area of Dhaka last night.
"The victims were being trafficked to Republic of Palau," said a text message sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. A team of Detective Branch of Police conducted a drive in Ashkona after receiving information that some people were being trafficked to Palau.
DMP is expected to hold a press briefing later in the day to provide more details on the arrest.
