24-hr helpline for Bangladeshis in Maldives

Bangladesh High Commission in Male has opened a 24-hour Help Line for Bangladesh expatriates in Maldives.

The number of the Help Line is +9603320859, according to a press release issued by the foreign ministry in Bangladesh today.

The helpline is opened days after two Bangladeshis were killed in separate incidents in Maldives.

Shahin Mia, 25, was stabbed to death in a Malé café on Sunday, while another, identified as Bilal, was found dead at a house in Alif Alif Atoll Thoddoo Island the next day.
