3,107 ‘fake certificates’ of FFs revoked: Minister

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today told parliament that 3,107 'fake certificates' of freedom fighters and gazettes have so far been cancelled.

In reply to a scripted question from Awami League MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury (Bhola-3), the minister also informed the House that the government received recommendation for incorporation of names of total 4,188 freedom fighters from the dropout category, reports our staff correspondent.

The names include civilians, women freedom fighters (Birangona), employees of Mujibnagar government, medical team members, word heroes, martyrs and war-injured freedom fighters, he said.
