4 ‘traffickers’ held in Cox’s Bazar

Police arrested four suspected human traffickers in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar early today.

The arrestees -- Saddam Hossain, 20, Amin, 35, and Hasan, 32, -- are the listed human traffickers, said Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off, police picked them up raiding Sabrang area, locally known as Malaysia airport, around 2:45am, the police official told our Cox's Bazar correspondent.

The arrested are accused in several cases filed in connection with human trafficking, the police official said.
