7-year-old girl raped in Jashore

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenage boy in Jashore's Chaugachha upazila yesterday.

The child, a student of grade two, was admitted to Chaugachha Upazila Health Complex, reports our Benapole correspondent.

The fifteen year old boy remains absconding since he raped the girl at a jute field around 5:00pm yesterday, the victim's family said.

The mother of the victim filed a case with Chaugachha Police Station last night, said Rifat Khan Rajib, officer-in-charge of the police station.

Police are trying to arrest the alleged rapist, the OC said.
