ACC to sue ex-ADG of DIP for graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission is going to file a case against Rafiqul Islam, former additional director general of Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP), for acquiring money from unauthorised sources.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is going to file a case against Rafiqul Islam, former additional director general of Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP), for acquiring money from unauthorised sources.

ACC investigators, in a primary inquiry, found Tk 16,844,000 was accumulated by Rafiqul from undisclosed sources, Pranab Bhattacharya, public relations officer of the commission, told The Daily Star.

The anti-graft watchdog decided to file the case after the primary inquiry, he added.
