Addict kills father

A man was killed by his drug addict son allegedly over a family feud in Singair upazila of the district yesterday.

The deceased, Selim Hossain Khokon, 50, a driver, was a resident of Chandanpur village under Jamirta union.

Officer in Charge (OC) of Singair Police Station Aslam Hossain said Khokon's son Kawsar Hossain, 22, had a quarrel with his father over a issues around 10:30am.

At one stage, he beat his father with an iron rod, leaving his dead on the spot, the OC quoted the deceased's family members as saying.

On information, police recovered body and sent it to Manikganj General Hospital for autopsy.
