Addict kills wife

A pregnant housewife was strangled to death allegedly by her husband at Shibnathpur Baropota village under Benapole Port Police Station on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ruma Khatun, 19, wife of Ariful Islam Tutul of the village.

Quoting locals, police said Tutul, a drug addict, killed his wife Ruma after the later refused to give him money for buying drugs.

The culprit went into hiding soon after the murder.
