AL leader found dead in Sunamganj, 3 held

A union level leader of Awami League was found dead in Sunamganj Sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased was identified as Joynal Abedin, 38, general secretary of AL Jahangirnagar union unit, Moksed Ali, chairman of the union, told our Moulvibazar correspondent.

Local people found the body beside a school in Islampur area and informed the police, he added.

Three people were held in connection with the incident, said Md Shahidullah, officer-in-charge of Sunamganj Police Station.
