The number of Covid-19 deaths in Bangladesh Police has jumped to 19, as another member of the force has died from the virus infection.

The deceased – Md Alamgir Hossain -- was a constable of Hazaribagh police outpost under Ramna Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), according to a statement of Police Headquarters (PHQ).

Hailing from Faridpur district, Alamgir left behind his wife and five sons.
Earlier, 17 cops and a civil staff of Bangladesh Police died from the infection.
