For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The victim was identified as Tamjid Hossain, one-and-half-year-old son of Inu Haque Chowdhury of Ghonapara in New Gulshan area.
Ranajir Dutta, a local fire service official, confirmed the casualties and said eight homes were quashed in separate landslides in New Gulshan area, Langi Para and Banarupa Para areas.
