Bangladesh sends humanitarian assistance to Nepal

Bangladesh government is sending humanitarian assistance to Nepal in the wake of the devastation caused in Nepal by a major earthquake.

The Government of Bangladesh is sending humanitarian assistance including medical teams and medicine to Nepal in the wake of the devastation caused in Nepal by a major earthquake today.

The medical teams will be working with the Nepalese Government in assisting the affected people there, says a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has conveyed her deep condolence and sympathy to her Nepalese counterpart on this tragedy.

The government and people of Bangladesh stand firmly beside the government and people of Nepal in this trying time, the press release added.
