BNP demands impartial investigation into bomb attack at Shia Muslim group's headquarters in old part of Dhaka that killed one and injured 87 others.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today demanded impartial investigation into bomb attack at Shia Muslim group's headquarters in old part of Dhaka that killed one and injured 87 others.

Addressing a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the authorities to arrest the culprits immediately.

The country's people are surprised at the heinous attack, Fakhrul said.

He also alleged that the government wants to eliminate the nationalist force by linking BNP leaders and activists to the killings of two foreign nationals and a police official.
