The BNP leader breathed his last at Ever Care Hospital while undergoing treatment there at 1:00pm, confirmed Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP chairperson's media wing.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Kamal, former president of Faridpur district Jubo Dal, was admitted at the hospital on November 21 with pneumonia. He tested Covid-19 positive at the hospital.
He was elected member of the parliament from Faridpur-3 constituency five times and served as State Minister for LGED, Minister for Relief and Disaster Management and Minister for Health.
