Cop held for raping ex-wife

A policeman was arrested on Saturday in connection with a case for raping his ex-wife in Barandipara area of Jashore town the same night.

The arrestee, Azizul Haque Sabuj, 42, of Satkhira's Tala upazila, has recently been transferred to Khulna Range.

Earlier on Saturday night, Jasmine Begum filed a rape against her ex-husband Sabuj with Jashore Kotwali Police Station.
