Ctg airport suspends flight operations

The Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong suspends all of its flight operations due to Cyclonic storm Roanu. The last flight that leaves the airport is at 10:43am.

The Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong has suspended all of its flight operations due to Cyclonic storm Roanu.

The last flight that left the airport was at 10:43am, our correspondent reports.

All aircrafts have been taken to safe shelter, Wing Commander Riajal Kabir, manager of the airport, told The Daily Star.

Meanwhile, goods loading and unloading from all ships remain suspended at Chittagong seaport since the morning as Cyclone Roanu nears the Barisal-Chittagong coast.

The Met Office has issued cautionary signal-7 for Chittagong, Mongla and Payra ports, which means the port will experience severe weather.
