Drug addict kills father

A drug addict youth killed his father allegedly for money in Ghatail upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased, Somes Uddin, 55, was a resident of Hengarchala village.

Police detained the alleged killer Hasu Miah.

Locals said Hasu, who was tied to a pole by his family members, used to torture his parents for money.

Hasu entered his father's room around 9:00pm and killed him with a sharp weapon, police said.
