Road transport and bridges ministry asks the authorities concerned not to ply any truck, lorry and covered-van on the highways for three days before and after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges today asked the authorities concerned not to ply any truck, lorry and covered-van on the highways across the country for three days before and after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
"Except emergency goods services, the plying of truck, lorry and covered-van on the highways across the country will remain off during the time to ensure safe journey of people ahead of the Eid," Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said.
Meanwhile, all CNG stations across the country will remain open for 24-hour from July 10 to 19 to make the efforts a success, the minister said while addressing a programme at BIAM Foundation in Dhaka this afternoon.
