Jamaat’s Sylhet city leader arrested

Law enforcers today arrested the Sylhet city unit assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj.

Shahajahan Ali was picked up around 12:00pm from his home at Dutta village, Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bahubal Model Police Station, told our Moulvibazar correspondent.

Ali was an accused in a case filed under the Special Powers Act, said the OC. 

The accused will be produced before court in the evening, he added.
