BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has undergone a successful eye surgery in London, her associate says.

Doctors of Moorfields Eye Hospital conducted a successful surgery on her right eye, Syrul Kabir Khan, a staff of the BNP chairperson’s media wing, told The Daily Star today.

Since the surgery around 6:00pm London time, the former prime minister has been kept under supervision of Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of Khaleda’s son Tarique Rahman.

BNP chief Khaleda Zia reached London on July 16. It was expected to be a one-and-half month trip. She is expected to return after celebrating Eid with her family there.
