Man dies as tree falls on him in Dhanmondi Lake

A man died as a tree fell on him in Dhanmondi Lake in Dhaka this morning.

Mostafizur Rahman, 54, was taking his regular morning walk when the tree fell on him around 10:00am, Abdul Latif, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Police Station, told The Daily Star.

He died on the spot, the OC said.

A team of Mohammadpur Fire Station on information went there and recovered his body 30 minutes after the incident took place, said sources at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.
