Police recover bodies of a woman and her six-year-old daughter from their house in Barogola Tinpotti area of Bogra.
Police recovered the bodies of a woman and her six-year-old daughter from their residence in Barogola Tinpotti area of Bogra this morning.
The deceased were identified as Rubi, 24, wife of Yusuf Sheikh, a Saudi expatriate, and her daughter Sumaiya, 6, Sanatan Chakraborty, additional superintendent of police in Bogra, told our local correspondent.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Police recovered the bodies around 9:00am after Ruby’s mother-in-law found them dead and informed police about the incident.
Ruby was stabbed by a scissor in the chest while the child Sumaiya was strangulated to death, the police official added.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
