One killed, 15 injured as bus hits auto-rickshaw in Manikganj

A person was killed and 15 were injured as a bus hit an auto-rickshaw on Hemayetpur-Singair-Manikganj regional highway this morning. 

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports our Manikganj correspondent. 

Hafizur Rahman, additional superintendent of police (crimes and administration) of Manikganj, said a bus plunged into a ditch after hitting an auto-rickshaw at Kitingchar in Singair upazila around 8:45am.

The injured were admitted to different hospitals, he said.

The accident might have occurred due to dense fog, Hafizur Rahman added.
