Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is going to be goodwill ambassador of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to campaign against the graft menace.

He accepted the offer this morning in a function at the ACC’s office at Segun Bagicha in Dhaka, says a press release.

Accepting the offer, Shakib vowed to work for making the country a “role model” in the world by curbing corruption.

During the programme, ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said, “It’s high time for you [Shakib] to give something to the country’s youths. It will be a great achievement if 10 youths are encouraged to lead an honest life from you”.

The anti-graft body also termed the premier Bangladeshi cricketer as “icon of the country’s crores of young people”, according to the release.
