Siblings among 3 children drown in Khagrachhari

Three children including a brother and a sister have drowned in a dam in Khagrachhari's Panchhari upazila this morning.

The deceased were identified as Abraham Tripura (5), his sister Khumbarti Tripura (8), and their friend Pranti Tripura (6). They were residents of Karigharpara of the upazila, reports our Bandarban correspondent quoting Md Dulal Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Panchhari Police Station.

Quoting locals, the OC said, the trio fell into the dam and drowned around 10:00am today.

Locals rescued them and sent them to local health complex where doctors declared them dead, added the OC.
