Teenager arrested over attempting to rape 5-year-old in Manikganj

A 16-year-old boy was arrested last night in a case filed over attempting to rape a five-year-old girl in Harirampur of Manikganj district.

The victim's father filed the case against the arrestee with Harirampur Police Station, our Manikganj correspondent reports quoting Officer-in-Charge of the police station Md Muyeed Chowdhury.

In the case statement, the father, who stays in Dhaka for work, claimed that the boy attempted to rape the child at the victim's house on November 8. As the child started crying, the accused left the house immediately, the statement said.
