Train derails, Dhaka-Mymensingh rail link cut

Rail communication between Dhaka and Mymensingh was suspended as inter-district Teesta Express derailed in Sripur upazila of Gazipur this morning.

Two wheels of the Mymensingh-bound train got out of the tracks near outer signal of Kaorad Railway Station around 9:45am, our Gazipur correspondent reports quoting Emdad Hossain, station master of the station.

A relief train is on the way from Mymensingh to savage the train, he said. The line will not be cleared until the broken down train is removed from the tracks.
