"The strike will be enforced from Tuesday," Chowdhury Ashiqul Alam, general secretary of Bangladesh Noujan Sramik Federation, said during a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity around 11:00am.

Other demands include ensuring security in waterways and maintaining navigability.
